Investment summary

The main takeaway from the results presentation was a management team that appeared confident about the prospects of the technology. Cautious not to over-promise, management gave little away in terms of commercial opportunities, but did highlight that it is seeing 25 new serious enquiries a month, with around five of these from multi-billion dollar corporation. The US shale opportunity in particular is starting to attract attention, given the arbitrage between natural gas and low sulphur diesel prices.

Industry outlook

OCG is focusing on GTL, with 75% of their pipeline in this space. A successful small-scale GTL offering is attracting plenty of interest, particularly in onshore US where shale gas technology has allowed the exploitation of a significant reserve base. Oxford Catalysts continues to receive high levels of interest in its technology, which allows it to pursue a selective partnering programme.
