Investment summary

Stobart completed its acquisition of the Moneypenny portfolio as expected after the May 2011 equity fund raising, in line with the corporate strategy. The group's core trading performance is anticipated to be in line with expectations, allowing base forecasts to remain unchanged. March and April also saw the announcement of a new daily service by Aer Lingus Regional (operated by Aer Arann) between London Southend Airport and Dublin, and the commencement of easyJet operations, highlighting the potential for additional business to come from the airport. With Stobart also buying back shares in the market after the authority granted at the general meeting, further value-enhancing moves are also being taken.

Industry outlook

92% of the group's revenues continue to come from the core logistics business. We believe this is in increasing demand due to the shared user operating model and a greater focus on more environmental transportation options for customers, reducing costs and supporting green targets.
