Investment summary
Is Private Equity is a leading private equity firm in Turkey. It has made 12 investments since it launched in 2000 and so far has successfully exited six of these. It states these six completed exits have achieved an average IRR of 28.7% (based on US dollars), which represents an average exit price of 1.95x the initial investment. The most recent sale was of its 20% stake in Dr Frik (pharmaceuticals) in a trade sale to Recordati of Italy. A 13th investment, in Aras Kargo, has been agreed. The balance sheet is strong, with minimal debt and around 60% invested in liquid assets, yet the discount to reported NAV remains attractively large.
