Research methodology
Edison’s investment company research process begins with a thorough investigation into the background of a company or trust. Our analysts will then meet with the fund manager to gain an understanding of their investment process and investment strategy as well as the managers’ outlook for the sector and that for the trust. The insight gained assists the modelling process, which includes, but is not limited to, a detailed analysis of the asset allocation, major holdings, performance, capital structure, dividend policy and record, discount performance, and valuation as well as a comparison against its peers. The analysts’ findings are summarised in a written report designed specifically for investment companies or trusts.
